Workshop at Fishpond Wood

Come and discover the magic of Fishpond Wood, Peat Lane, Bewerley, HG3 5HX.

As artist in residence at Fishpond Wood, I lead monthly workshops in the Hexagon Study Barn in the woods and explore with you the craft skills and artistic approaches needed to create collage.

The workshop on Saturday 20th April will take place from 2pm until 3.30pm. The cost is £15 per adult, £7.50 per child (under 16). You can book at info@whitewoodswellbeing.co.uk or telephone Peter on 07752 518028. Please bring your own refreshments if you wish.

Come along with a friend or family member and have fun whilst learning a new skill. You will be creating a beautiful collage to take home with you, made from some woodland materials. My theme in using recycled materials for my art is to highlight nature and the importance of protecting the environment. I work with unwanted, discarded material and turn it into something quite unique. I will be sharing my techniques to show how you can become more creative using recycled materials.

Art can make such a difference to our mental wellbeing, reducing stress and anxiety.

Reconnecting with Nature was created from recycled international scratch cards and foil.  I took it with me to the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow when I was selected as a COP26 “One Step Greener” ambassador.
