On Saturday 6th May my artwork commissioned for Great British Racing (GBR) was transferred to Thirsk Races to be unveiled on the day of the Coronation and to be filmed. The Coronation was being shown on a large screen and once the ceremony was over, the artwork was unveiled in the main ring.
Alongside me in the photos below is Erin Boswell, General Commercial Manager at Thirsk Races:



The artwork was displayed outside the Owners and Trainers lounge for filming and viewing by racegoers. It attracted attention from visitors of all ages!


I was filmed for a documentary by Bradburn Films and described the process of creating the artwork and how it felt to see it on display at the races.

Fortunately on a day when some rain was forecast, it did remain dry. I enjoyed watching the races:
