Quite a Year! 2025 has thrown up all sorts of challenges which I hope I have been courageous at dealing with. The early part of the year saw me travelling the length and breadth of the country doing research for what would later be the start of a new independent beginning for me.
In February, my book ‘In My Nature – Sustainable Art and Autism‘ was published worldwide by Bloomsbury Publications and Herbert Press. A very proud time for me, having a book published at 23 years of age by the same publishers as J K Rowling‘s Harry Potter series of books!
Following my travels I relocated my studio and gallery to Manningham, the centre of Bradford City of Culture 2025.
As well as opening my studio and gallery, I relocated to live independently in what is my first property in Saltaire. Quickly following the official opening of my gallery I attended. The Yorkshire Young Achiever’s Awards on the 13/11/2025 where I was honoured to be named Yorkshire Young Achiever for ‘Achievement in Management and Enterprise‘. See photo below:
I was honoured to be invited on Sunday 21/11/2025 to the Hanukkah at the Bradford Synagogue where at the end of the service I presented the outgoing Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire Ed Anderson CBE with a signed copy of my book as a retirement gift.
As a massive fan of the fashion designer Gianni Versace who I take inspiration from, I visited London to see an exhibition of his work – inspirational for my artwork:
At Christmas and in London it has to be memories of Christmas Past with a visit to The Charles Dickens Museum. What would be Christmas be without Charles Dickens Christmas Novel – ‘A Christmas Carol’. Whilst at the museum, I was thrilled to meet the great-great-great-granddaughter of Charles Dickens who was giving theatrical readings of ‘A Christmas Carol’
And finally…. No visit to London is complete without seeing the Christmas lights and a visit to Harrods for a few small presents for family and friends.
