Workshop at Fishpond Wood

Come and discover the magic of Fishpond Wood in Bewerley, situated about half a mile from JOT’s Gallery in Pateley Bridge.  As artist in residence at Fishpond Wood, I lead monthly workshops in their Hexagon Study Barn and explore with you all the craft skills and artistic approaches needed to creating collage.

Bring a friend or family member and have fun whilst learning a new skill, creating a beautiful collage to take home with you.  My theme in using recycled materials for my art is to highlight nature and the importance of protecting the environment.  I work with unwanted, discarded material and turn it into something quite unique.  I will be sharing my techniques to show how you can become more creative using recycled materials.

Art can make such a difference to our mental wellbeing, reducing stress and anxiety.

This is a recent collage I created of Fishpond Wood using recycled scratch cards for the trees, foil for the sky, pieces of cardboard packaging material for the path and a torn plastic carrier bag for the pond.

"A Woodland Triptych” is another new design with Fishpond Wood in mind!

You will be able to take home your own collage using recycled materials.
