DESCRIPTION:Come and discover the magic of Fishpond Wood, Peat Lane, Bewerley, HG3 5HX.\nAs artist in residence at Fishpond Wood, I lead monthly workshops in the Hexagon Study Barn in the woods and explore with you the craft skills and artistic approaches needed to create collage.\nThe workshop on Saturday 25th May will take place from 2pm until 3.30pm. Please bring your own refreshments if you wish.\nCome along with a friend or family member and have fun whilst learning a new skill. You will be creating a beautiful collage to take home with you, made from some woodland materials. My theme in using recycled materials for my art is to highlight nature and the importance of protecting the environment. I work with unwanted, discarded material and turn it into something quite unique. I will be sharing my techniques to show how you can become more creative using recycled materials.\nArt can make such a difference to our mental wellbeing, reducing stress and anxiety.\n																										\n”Springtime” was created from a mix of recycled scratch cards. It is part of a larger piece entitled “Fields of Gold”, commissioned as a gift for a young couple’s wedding.\n
