SUMMARY:Workshop at Fishpond Wood
DESCRIPTION:MARCH WORKSHOP AT FISHPOND WOOD TO RAISE FUNDS AS PART OF WORLD AUTISM ACCEPTANCE WEEK\nAs artist in residence at Fishpond Wood in Bewerley near Pateley Bridge, I lead monthly workshops in their Hexagon Study Barn to explore with you the craft skills and artistic approaches needed for creating collage.\nThe theme for March is “The Spectrum Colour Challenge” and we will be raising much needed funds for the National Autistic Society. The fee of £25 per person for taking part in the workshop from 2 until 3.30 p.m. on 18th March will be donated to the National Autistic Society. The money received will then be forwarded to the Society as part of World Autism Acceptance Week (27th March – 2nd April 2023). Please come along, have fun whilst learning a new skill and create a beautiful collage to take home with you. \nMy theme in using recycled materials for my art is to highlight nature and the importance of protecting the environment. I work with unwanted, discarded material and turn it into something quite unique. I like to share my techniques to show how you can also become more creative using recycled materials.\nArt can make such a difference to our mental wellbeing, reducing stress and anxiety. I am on the autistic spectrum myself and have always found art therapeutic. There will be a full spectrum of colourful materials at the workshop and we will be creating textured photo collages of trees and nature for you to take home. Please spread the word and help us raise vital funds!\n \n \nAn example of a Woodland Photo Collage by J.O.T.\n
